This has been a beautiful winter in the Triangle. This unseasonably warm weather in Durham had lead Motor Boatin, the boat rental company serving Falls Lake, to see an increase in new customers enjoying Falls Lake this winter. In the winter, a common question is: Can we even rent a boat in the winter? The answer is of course! The next question is typically: What is there to do at Falls Lake in the winter? 3 outdoor, lake activities to enjoy at Falls Lakes in the winter is:
- Camping on the Lake: Many North Carolina residents who enjoying camping love camping at Falls Lake because of the beautiful view. While there are not campsites directly on the lake, the view of Falls Lake from the campsites are great!
- Rent a Fishing Boat: Motor Boatin rents fishing boats to Falls Lake guests who are interested in fishing. Falls Lake is typically less populated than other nearby lakes, such as Jordan Lake. A less crowded lake makes for better fishing conditions.
- Jet Skiing: The temperatures are so warm that renting a jet ski is a great way to stay cool. Many of Falls Lake visitors are nervous about it being too cool on a jet ski because of the wind, but that isn’t true this winter.
